Why “Le A”?

One day the artist Fabrice Hyber sketched the letter “A” and started to laugh. “A” is the first letter of many alphabets, it sounds nice spoken aloud and because of this seemed like a good name for a hotel. Once we started to look for connections to the letter “A”, everything converged: “A” for rue d’Artois, “A” for Alphabet (26 rooms), “A” for Art (the hotel itself is an art gallery). Finally, the elongated letter A echoes the silhouette of the Eiffel Tower.

After many months of work in 2003, this modern luxury hotel opened its doors to the public.

The 19th-century façade and glass roof have been preserved. The interior space has been remodeled to resemble a large private home. Hôtel Le A is more than a charming hotel: it was designed as a real townhouse, a real place to live.

Decorated with the alphabet in mind, the 26 rooms and suites each contain a unique work of art by Fabrice Hyber.

Here, comfort has a personality of its own. The environment was designed by Frédéric Mechiche, whose work focuses on artistic creation, colors, materials and light.

Early each morning, Hôtel Le A invites you to enjoy a generous and refined breakfast, served beneath our glass roof bathed in natural light. A genuine invitation to indulge and start the day beautifully.

Choose between an American or continental buffet, with in-room service available on request. Le A adapts to your every wish: eggs cooked to order, gluten-free dishes and a made-to-measure breakfast.

Treat yourself to our baker's basket, freshly prepared every morning: croissants, pains au chocolat, pains aux raisins, wholegrain bread and the traditional French baguette, warm and soft. For a lighter touch, a selection of seasonal fruit, fruit salad, as well as tomatoes and cucumber bring freshness and vitality.

Lovers of savoury flavours will appreciate our truffle ham and Landes ham, our fresh Norwegian salmon, our bacon and chicken sausages, not to mention a cheese platter featuring five varieties. The real highlight? Our eggs, prepared to order by our chef: scrambled, as an omelette, boiled or fried, simply choose your favourite.

To accompany these dishes, enjoy a wide choice of products: organic cereals and granola, dried fruit, an assortment of flavoured yoghurts, and a selection of milks (cow, soya, almond or oat) to suit every taste. Those with a sweet tooth will delight in our soft waffles and pancakes, delicate macarons and chocolate cake, served with butter, honey, organic spread and Alain Milliat jams.

For drinks, coffee, tea and hot chocolate are carefully prepared by our team, while our orange and grapefruit juices add a real touch of freshness. Mindful of everyone, we also offer gluten-free options, so this moment remains a pleasure accessible to all.

A creative, modern vibe distinguishes Hotel Le A's Lounge Bar.

This open space reminiscent of a New York loft welcomes you with white brickwork and works of art by Fabrice Hyber as well as details like a ceramic wall, a modern tapestry created in Mexico and oversized works of art.

Under its 19th-century glass roof, the lounge bar is resolutely pared back, with a quiet, design-led atmosphere.

Host a bespoke private event in the heart of the 8th arrondissement of Paris. Corporate parties, special events, product launches and more. Hotel Le A is the perfect spot for gatherings of up to 50 people.
